Boris Karloff answers the call of the voodoo in a no-holds-barred horror extravaganza that runs the gory gamut from voodoo cultists and weird jungle ceremonies to cannibal women and the walking dead! On an island off the South American coast, a hardened police captain arrives from the mainland to impose his own brutal brand of law and order. A mad midget in mod glasses, lesbian-tinged dream sequences, snakes and zombies add to the horror as the captain searches for the islander who poses as the voodoo god Damballah and presides over the natives' diabolical voodoo rites.
Cult film maker Jack Hill (Spider Baby, Foxy Brown) wrote and co-directed this unique chiller which gives fans the opportunity to see a mature Karloff still at the fiendish top of his form.
